Sushi Chef Inspiration!
Today, I am thankful for Sushi Chef (in training): Lamisal
Being inspired is sometimes hard for me these days, today was just a bit different.
The last time I had Sushi, it wasn't good at all. I'm thinking it was because I'm used to a certain place "Sushi Axiom." For the most part, I don't eat sushi as regularly as I would like because of the expense.
Ok, on with the inspiration... Well, this morning around 10:30am I woke up with about 5 or so hours of sleep and decided to have lunch/breakfast at Sushi Axiom around 11:30am or so. Walked in and the place had hardly anyone there. I chose the Sushi Bar for seating, and when as I was being seated; and there was the inspiration so evident. A young Sushi Chef that had such an awesome SMILE! I spoke to him and found out that he has only been working there for 4 months and he has only been in Texas for 5 months. He was trying to speak, and I could tell he might not have understood everything I was saying, but he smiled anyways. So, I ordered my favorites: the Dancing Eel Roll with 4 season sauces on it, along with the traditional Eel Roll, and ate. I was there for maybe two hours just enjoying myself and learning a little. I did thank Lamisal for his smile, and hopefully he will be there next time with the same smile...
Thank You Father for such a wonderful God Stop today!
I am so blessed!
Today's inspired scripture was:
Psalm 139:1-4
O Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know my sitting down and my rising up, You understand my thought afar off. You comprehend my path and my lying down, And are acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word on my tongue, but behold, O Lord, You know it altogether.

So Thankful!
So Thankful!
Thank You Heavenly Father for never failing me, for giving me the faith to know beyond a shadow of a doubt that You will never leave or forsake me! Thank You for imparting through Your Son, righteousness!
In Your word: 2 Corinthians 5:20-21 states: Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God. For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
Thank You to so many people that share in my journey through this life that My Father in Heaven gave me!
Here are a few names that have supported this wonderful journey:
My Mom-Jerry; My Sister-Christi; The Valentino Gang; Aunt Bennie; a bunch of Jennifer's; The POC bunch; Hayes couple; My church family at Hope Works; and many others that know exactly who they are!
News of the Journey:
As of April 17, 2012; Katinas Creations now has a DBA and a tax number.
Starting May 1st, 2012 I will be a Nanny again for the Cahill Family.
Many of you know that God has called me to Africa and impart Love to Mothers and children!
Well, through prayer and many sermons this year God has given me the faith to step out of the boat, get my hair wet, cry out, and Worship! In other words, start a new season toward the passion He has given me.
Please look forward to more blogs and updates on this wonderful journey!
Walking by Faith,
Katina

Pole Sana, and Merry Christmas!
"Pole Sana"
(Very Sorry)
I have not posted on the blog in two months and a few days, so I wanted to share a little that has been taking place in my life.
Well, most of the people close to me know that I work for Hobby Lobby and enjoy it! By this I mean that I enjoy meeting people and helping them find what they are looking for there. I also enjoy ordering and putting new product on the shelf. From July til January is the busiest time of the year, which means allot of hours at work. Every day at work is "Order Day," this is something that we say regularly and most of the time in jest.
The past few months I have created a few pieces that are gifts for friends, this piece that I am wearing is one of the gifts inspired by the beautiful cherry blossom.
On many occasions within these two months I have been reminded of a particular scripture:
Philippians 4:8-9
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy-meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.
Also, during these two months I have been blessed with caring for a few children. It brings me joy, lots of joy to love on and share in Gods Glory with children!
Have a very blessed and Merry Christmas!

Red with Roses for my friends!
Red with Roses for my friends!
Dear friends,
Here is a new piece that I just started and finished in an hour. Some silver roses and red to go along. You don't have to water them or give them sun light, just wear it for any occasion.
I'm sure at one time or another you have wanted flowers for any reason. I do enjoy beautiful flowers, but the real ones might make me sneeze. If you are interested in this piece please email me @ katinascreations@gmail.com.
Let's see who's the first to respond and they will get a wonderful discount.
Psalm 5:8
Lead me, O Lord, in Your righteousness because of my enemies; Make Your way straight before my face.

You are a "Gift" that God made!
Psalm 139:13-16
For You formed my inward parts;
You covered me in my mother's womb.
I will praise You, for *I am fearfully and
wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well.
My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of
the earth.
Your eyes saw my substance, being yet
unformed.
And in Your book they all were written,
The days fashioned for me,
When as yet there were none of them.
I am blessed to be created and loved by the creator of the universe!
I am reminded of the song by Casting Crowns: Oh Glorious Day!
Living He loved me, dying He saved me
And buried He carried my sins far away
Rising He justified freely forever
One day He's coming, oh, glorious day, oh, glorious day
I am blessed to be created and loved by the creator of the universe!

And buried He carried my sins far away

One day He's coming, oh, glorious day, oh, glorious day
I am so thankful that God sent His Son! Be blessed today and trust in the creator of the universe, God!

Show me Your ways, O Lord!
Show me Your ways, O Lord;
Teach me Your paths.
Lead me in Your truth and teach me,
For You are the God of my salvation;
On You I wait all the day. Psalm 25:4-5
I've been somewhat happy/sad the past week or so. In four days some dear friends are going to Mabera, Kenya for two weeks. I'm so thankful for the peace that passes all understanding and knowing that obedience to The Lord trumps every time!
I would like to Praise the Lord! After much prayer and petition, ALive Ministries now has a new vehicle that was donated for the work of the Lord! My dear friend and sister in Christ "Rhonda" is the founder of a wonderful Ministry that helps women to serve the Lord and also gives free services to the community that promote independence and self-sufficiency among women in need. You can find out more at the website: http://aliveministriestx.org

Color that builds Character!
Color is such a wonderful way to brighten someones day! This was made by a sweet sister in Christ, Jiovana.
Over the weekend some dear friends and myself saw a movie that really made me thankful to have been born in the 70's. Please understand that I believe with all my heart that God created us all (who is on the earth).
Scripture states:
Genesis 2:7-then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature.
Mark 10:6-But from the beginning of creation, 'God made them male and female.'
In the childhood hymn, the words: red, yellow, black, and white. They are precious in His sight! Yes, Jesus loves me. The bible tells me so!
Be sure to check out the merchandise that I have posted on the Shopping Cart tab. Be blessed!

Learning To Set Up The Shop, and Remembering Kenya!
So, its been a week and one day and I am trying to set up the Etsy Shop. Please be patient with me as I am an OJT (On The Job Training) kind of gal.
The past few weeks have been exciting, while I try and figure the whole buisness thing out. Thinking about packaging and postage as well as many other details.
May God grant me wisdom and knowledge as I learn to opperate on the Web.
On Monday, one of my Spiritual Mom's left for Kenya and the past few days I have been reminded of many wonderful moments being there in Kenya myself. One day stands out in my mind most of all: The day my sister-in-Christ (Happy) was leaving to her home in Tanzania. I had only met her two weeks prior and I can tell you that meeting her was such a gift. On that day she was leaving to head back home (a two day or so trip by bus); I was so sad and just crying, and crying. My heart was breaking, just thinking that you don't know what tomorrow will bring. God gives us blessings/gifts for a reason, season, or a life-time! This may not sound like a wonderful moment, but it was. There are so many more, especially with the children of GS (Gentle Shephard). Watching the children pray, sing, and dance. What a blessed life God has given each of us here on this earth. Hold on to each day as it will be your last, cause we do not know what tomorrow will bring.
Here are just a few of the children at GS with me.
This is my brother"Ezekiel" and his wife to be"Happy"my sister in Christ!

Just Getting Started!
Well, this is not a first for me but a first to blog about my creations. Today was so amazing, and all I can say is: "God is Good!"
My dear friend Kimee, is so talented! She can do just about anything with a camera and computer. God has given her such a wonderful eye for beauty. I am so thankful to have her in my life.
When I woke up this morning, I was so excited to get ready for pictures. I had a devotion with my father, packed my jewels up, had some coffee, curled my hair(which is a chore for me), ate a little breakfast, and was out the door. Kimee was all ready for my pieces of jewels with perfect lighting and no shadows. The pictures are so beautiful, I can't believe this is stuff I made along with a few others. Come to find out, there are close to 100 pieces. Then we headed outdoors for a few shots of me! This was interesting, cause Kimee was trying to think of funny things to say so I would give her my natural smile. She did wonderful, and man I love the pics!
Now to start the etsy account so that people can purchase the jewels. You can find my page at: etsy.com/KatinasCreations
Oh, Happy Day!
P.S. be sure to add my blog to your favorites, there will be more to come!
